That's awesome Rick! Personally I lost 18 lbs. in 35 days and ended up down 24 lbs. in 2 months and have now kept that off for almost a year as I'm at my "ideal" weight. I love Tim Ferriss and his wonderful slow carb diet!

Greta, you can safely consume most of her recipes once you've eliminated the ones with processed ingredients, sugars, grains, dairy, and legumes. That should take care of most potential allergens!

I'm imagining the radio debate you were listening to with people calling in about how she should have been promoting whole grains, low-fat foods, eating less, exercising more and eating whatever you want in moderation. All ridiculous myths!

Heard about this on the radio over the weekend. They were having a huge debate over whether or not she was liable for promoting an unhealthy diet with the dishes she creates on her cooking show. I don't know if I would say she's liable (personal responsability and all that) but I know I would think twice about making one of her recipes lol

Hi Rick
Your blog brought back memories. I lived on the west side of the lake. We had a long treed driveway off the Spanaway Loop
road. We were right accross from the middle of the island. I used to swim over to the island. My dad put the first house on
before there was a bridge. He winched through the shallow water where the bridge is now. It is still in use today. The first little house on the left. A hydro driver had it for many years. He just died a few years ago. I used to take our row boat to the park until they pad locked them and then I had to hike around.
I loved the summer big picknics free hot dogs, ice cream and pop. Just get in line because there were usually so many kids that no one knew I was a usurper. I am older than you. The
Spanaway dance hall was still going when I was there. I can still
hear the country western music from accross the lake. When I
was older and good get in I saw Johnny Cash and a lot of the old country stars before TV made them so big. I am retired now and moved back to the lake. Not on it but close. I couldn't afford a half mil for one of the two good lots left on the lake. I have to go but if you want to hear more let me know.

Sincerely
Jerry Irwin

Sounds like something I would do if I had a little more geek in me. Paul had his truck broken into in his work ramp and his military issued knife was stolen. I wanted to call around to all the local pawn shops to try to locate it because it's not a very common weapon 'round these parts. Wasn't sure how cooperative they would be though so I stuck to searching for his Oakley's on Craigslist but didn't come up with anything and eventually gave up. Guess I should have tasked you with the job!

Thankfully, I'm only guilty of #5.

But it probably doesn't count since I've only been to The Hurting Place about 6 times this year.
